Back Stage -- It's the place that makes the magic on center stage possible! Back stage is where everything that brings a show together takes place. Set design and construction, costuming, and props, even lighting and sound are all part of back stage. At the Purchase Players CPAC, back stage is also where tips are swapped, the meaning of theatre terms are discussed and where we talk about shows past and other theatres we've visited. In that spirit, we offer here Technical Tips, a Glossary of theatre terms, and Volunteer Descriptions for newcomers who may be interested in working back stage but don't yet know what there is to do. You're welcome to tour back stage anytime at the Purchase Players CPAC -- just keep it down -- there's a show playing out there on stage! |
